What does "No Entry Fee" mean?

Residents moving into The Highlands are not required to deposit or invest a large amount of money to lease an apartment home.  Our renewable apartment leases last for one year, and require a security deposit equal to one month’s rent at the time of lease signing.

How much is it per month for each apartment home?

Will my rent go up a lot the year after I move in?

No!  Rents are adjusted at your annual lease renewal and can be expected to go up approximately with the cost of living inflation index.

How do I reserve an apartment?

If we have an apartment home available, our lease application fee is $100, applicable toward your security deposit. Signing up for our waiting list, at no cost to you, is a good way to get in line for the apartment you desire if we currently have none available.  Visit us today to learn more or call us for a waiting list application.

What about if I have a temporary or more permanent health change, can I continue to live at The Highlands?

Yes!  Your home at The Highlands is similar to your current home.  If you are recovering from an illness and need home health care, housekeeping or meals brought to you, that is okay with us.

Do I get priority admittance to Arbor Village Assisted Living if I need it?

Yes!  Residents at The Highlands are on the priority admittance list for our assisted living facility.  Residents who move from The Highlands to Arbor Village Assisted Living on a temporary basis keep their apartment.  If a resident wants to move to Arbor Village permanently, your Highlands lease is terminated at no cost to you.
